Love this Jeanne. It made me smile and think of my phone box days.
There are still 2 red ones in Whitehall. They are the most photographed of all in the UK being so near Parliament square. No idea if they worked but plenty of people would ask me to take their photos in or by them, usually as I was rushing to a meeting elsewhere in Whitehall, and of course in the days before selfies and smart phones.
You are a dangerously good story teller because you have dared to live. The best of stories are those that have been lived, not born in some corner of the imagination. You have lived. You have loved. And I love you!
I loved reading this story. I was there with you, in Tunbridge, at the Greek cafe and on the bus to Mumbai. How vivid your storytelling is. Thank you for taking me somewhere warm and exotic, on this cool,Canadian , spring morning. Love you 💕
There are piles of books around (well, some piles lie horizontally...) with a bookmark in most of them, sometimes more than one bookmark, but it still happens that I'm not sure which I should take from the pile/shelf to read a few pages according to the present feeling. This email arrived at a perfect moment in this regard, it's the best reading I could have hoped for. And I'll probably listen to Leloup's Morning several times today, imagining I'm flying...
Thank you Yves, what fun I had to write it, tracking down memories from these wonderful creations, and of course, Leloup, my all time love helped me through such a difficult time.

Delightful story and thanks for sharing.
Another wonderful article in which researched history is used to introduce fascinating personal memories.
