Thanks for writing this - i loved it. I sit here listening to side 2 of Funhouse as i read it.
I am now in a dreamy state as i let the music play out and reflect. I am remembering what i was doing while you were on that tour. I was at the Liverpool gig on that tour. Erics in Liverpool often had a matinee performance for the under 18s and it shut the doors at 5pm before reopening at 7pm for the evening gig. I saw the early gig and hid in the cloakroom until they reopened and i could see him again. That was just before i hitched down to London and started a new life, squatting around kings cross and camden as i fell in with musicians and artists who lived in communal squats all over London. Was so exciting! Anyway, the record has finished so…
Dear Paul, wow, so you were there too, how wonderful and thank you so much for your reply, this has made me so, so happy. He was perfection, madness and I love it, hiding in the cloakroom. Imagine doing that now. It was a time and a place, and so we lived very similar moments, you know the energy, how we would whirl-cheat our way into the gigs, the squats, and that tour, where he was so feline and magical. We lived off the Caledonian Road, in Mornington Cresent for a while, then off to the Dogs! Ahhh. Thank you too

But, yeah, thanks for bringing back the memories!
