Jeanne, what a wonderful read; I’m looking forward to more! I’m so glad you were able to go back home after so many years and be able to bring Violette with you. The exposure and experience she gets is so valuable and memorable. Hope to visit one day. Cheers.

Thank you Jeanne for showing us the positive side of China, which tends to get such negative reporting in Western media. I wish I could visit Jinshatan Beach. Can't wait to read your next article on China. Andrew

Jeanne it is so good to read you who you are, with Violette following in your footsteps. On the question of happiness : Happiness is a beautiful flower that grows in diverse types of soil, with varying amounts of rain and sunshine. Thank you again for flowering in my garden.

Yes, yes, you are so right about happiness, I love the way you put it...It grows in the most unusual ways in the most unlikely of soils....Part two is coming now, a bit more difficult to write, but, I try, in my way to be honest, and let the story tell itself if you see what I mean.

How lovely, Jeanne. I miss you so much, but it seems that it takes time and distance (Einstein was wrong with "space", then) to have a deeper (another distance, now vertical) knowledge of you.

I'd like to be around and try reading in Violette's mind what she imagines about her grandmother's early life.

It's been a sort of power you had to change one's perception of China. One of the largest changes that ever happened in my perceptions of something. But others happened too when you were in Montreal and I had the chance to meet you once in a while. Quite often, after all. Love, cheers.

My dear Yves, merci so much! In many ways it is what I want to do, and showcase how China and it's people are just like any one else with hopes and dreams and hey, they are, as we, human...A system is not it's people, and I have always been given and shown such resepct and love whilst there...Merci pour tes tendre paroles! xxxx
