My interview with Shannon Walbran
I had an interview with Shannon Walbran who is an intuitive life coach last month for her series - “You Are Guided to Divine,” where I speak about the 1-1 online course I offer: Scrapbooking your Soul Desire. The interview can be viewed at this link.
It was a first for me in this domain
I don’t know about you, but I often struggle to talk about myself and how I work creatively as much is to do with soul work. Often people suddenly take me less seriously. So, over time I have learnt to open up only with certain people
I teach and make documentaries. It is often technical, involving cameras, editing equipment, and computers. Yet I use all types of inner magic to find my way through the clutter and chatter, the data, wires, mics, etc, and out the other side to the moment of creative discovery.
I used to work as a natural therapist in Montreal, where much of the time I was listening to stories, touching bodies and learning as much as I could about the mind-body connection. I did fuse this with filmmaking, my other passion. Then, they were very separate. I seldom talked about this other side which is my inner-drive. Shannon has helped me bring it out and make it possible for me to talk about it, teach it, share it and enthuse about it.
Shannon and I met last year in an online forum,
friendship was fast, we met in person last Christmas. We have many similarities and interests. When she asked me to be interviewed and to talk about my work, ‘Scrapbooking your Soul Desire,’ for her series, “You Are Guided to Divine,” I was honoured.
She helped me move past this inner fear I have of showing myself. It seems fine in filmmaking: Hey, Look at me, I have this film! We can be cocky and upbeat and are pushed to promote, network and show, show, show.
So why not spiritually? She asked.

Jeanne thank you for guiding me into the direction of spirituality. The physical world consists of what we can see. But whence we close our eyes and we continue to see that is our spiritual universe. Our spiritual world is sacred. It is our inner sanctum. Yes we can share it but it must be done wisely. When someone knocks at our door only assume that that person is knocking at our door and nothing else. The most important element in human intercourse is the motivation behind a communication, an action. When we find ourselves in the middle of the process there are no banners hung in front of our eyes spelling the motivation. But of course there are signs... and interpreting them is the fun part of the game... Do I close my eyes or do I open up my eyes? That is the question.
I see more and more women sharing their merge of the business + spiritual worlds these days and it's so heartening and inspiring. It reminds me of just how interconnected this experience is and our magical abilities to weave a story that's so uniquely perfect for each one of us. Sending virtual hugs!
