I am currently in my village, Tuchan, South Western France, waiting out the latest restrictions from the UK of the 14 day quarantine. Another life, small village, 3 cases of Covid, obligation for all to wear masks, rules still unclear! People tired. Grape picking about to start.
I do not have internet in the house. That will not be until 16th September. But I did get the box, that arrived, so that is a start.
I have this funny little home down a small alley in the Fitou wine growing country, and took my camera, and here I am, waiting. The pickers arriving in droves. Village animated.
Today I am with my friend Helen, and have finally got some access. There is a frantic flurry of going through emails, and trying to upload things.
In-between, I to go to the post office and sit on the steps, there we have free wifi. But then, I end up chatting to everyone, so that is not always such a good idea. I have also tried late at night, and still ended up chatting to people. Not easy to hide when one is a chatter box.
I will be writing part 2, Stanley - his side of the story, by the 16th September.
And maybe before, if I have the chance.
Take care everyone. Have a great weekend.
Jeanne
